Baptist Church and Dungannon Methodist Church members and others joined
in a Community Thanksgiving service on Sunday evening, November 21, 2008.
We were welcomed by Brother Ed Blair (top left). Music was provided by
First Baptist Combined Voices Choir (bottom left) and Methodist Circuit
Choir (bottom right). Brother Larry Beavers (top right) presented an inspiring
message on true thanksgiving from Colossians 3:15. Following the message,
Brother Ed shared information about the Lord’s Super. Then participants
were offered a piece of bread broken from a loaf (representing the body
of Christ broken for all people) which they dipped in the cup (representing
the blood of Christ that was shed for all our sins). After this service,
we were invited back to “The French Café” prepared
for us by the Methodist Church hostesses. The food was delicious; the
fellowship was great; the ambiance of the French Café was wonderful.
